How To Repair Window Ac Thermostat

Replace thermostat, window Ac?

Hi,
I take a Whirlpool Air conditioning unit that I use to absurd my business firm. Lately the thermostat does non seem to function, it just blows common cold air with no cycling into fan simply fashion. I opened it up and cleaned the filter and everything out as skillful as I could, no difference.
Can this be repaired past a non-professional person? This unit is a real bi##h to remove from the window, it's an all day proffer.
Help!

What kind of a btu unit are we talking here?....is it a slide out casement unit?....if it's over ten,000 btu information technology might be worth the trouble. If information technology's a sliding instance, it wouldn't have to be pulled completely out in order to change the stat. If you have whatever electric skills, the stat could be bypassed to prove that you aren't wasting your money past throwing parts at a judge.

It's a 14,500 BTU. It was the biggest window unit of measurement I could observe at the time that didn't demand 220. To accept information technology out I have to remove lots of siding and window parts.

wow, I would sure remember that size was a slide casement unit where the example could stay in identify and the insides slid out. Depending on it's age, you might be able to admission the command from the front end of the unit of measurement and so. Even cheap 5000 btu units that I work on don't have to be removed to change the control....if it'due south digital, then all bets are off. It really comes downwardly to age of the unit and cost to replace the parts.
